bashir
Everybody please welcome Bashir to the family. He is a Crowntail Betta, and I have only come across one store that sells them, though there may be many. He's only been with us for two days, but already he has blossomed from the drab little specimen-in-a-cup that I brought him home as. He loves his fake plant, is not a big fan of the teapot, and prefers the filter not to be running, though we've reached what I think is a fair compromise.
I know that fish are a bit of a gamble, but I'm hoping he'll be with us for a while.
"Lucky Number Slevin" is a good movie if you don't mind a bit of f-bombs and murder.

actually, I used to have a bowl-within-a -bowl system that enabled me to have two bettas, but I think the stress of always being on the offensive shortened their lives. At least, the first one's life. The cat ended the other one's life ;)
I have two of those exact same Beta's in seperate tanks (and both are blue). Their names are Bela (named after Lugosi) and I forget the other name (my wife named it). My fish bit the one tail off the other while in the pet store - my fish is a killer and he likes the mini-skull in his tank (he even sleeps in it).
