smart is the new saved

I've been doing a lot of reading..... everywhere, about lots of stuff, from archons to cryptozoology. Quite frankly, I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to my self education, so I spend a lot of time scanning articles which I should be processing. I guess I'm just desperate to take as much in as possible. Maybe I think that somehow all this information will align itself in my brain and I'll wake up in the morning suddenly understanding all sorts of existential truth.

If only it were that easy. Alas, I have wondered to myself if I am of sufficient intelligence to delve into the deeper recesses of which I believe christianity has only scratched the surface. It seems sometimes, particularly when I'm farting around on the gnostic sites, that I am reading japanese, or some other equally foreign language. I am not used to not understanding. I am used to getting it.

Thank God that Jesus died to save me from my stupidity. Lord bless my brain.

Gnosticism is greater than the "blogs" and "churches" you see on the net. Don't get hung up on early gnostic theology, and especially on neo-gnostic ecclesiastical theology. These people are beating their chests, congratulating themselves on being "masters of the great secret" when they haven't got a clue what they're even talking about. Most of them are just heretical Catholics with an axe to grind.

Find your own unique spiritual path and you will find Gnosis.

Blessings.

thanx for your input jason, but I think you misinterpret my purpose. I am not searching for gnosis, as yet, I am only trying to understand what a wide variety of people believe. Anyways, you might say I'm grinding my own axe, so the heretical catholic comment really does nothing for me.

I think I misspoke. There's nothing wrong with being "heretical". And after some through discussion with those individuals I accused of "beating their chests" I see we just misunderstood each other.

I still say find your own path. But ignore the rest of my previous comment.
