Finally....

For the longest time I have been summarizing a life of work, eat, and sleep on a blog which my mother reads on a regular basis. This would be just fine if my mother wasn't a fundamentalist christian and I wasn't a potty-mouthed independent thinker in search of answers to the fantastic gaping holes in my childhood theology.

So, I have at long last created for myself an anonymous sounding board, a safe haven for heresy, if you will. I intend to put form to my doubts and give structure to my suspicions. I will explore ideas which have previously been forbidden, consider the bizarre, and search out unresolvable mysteries.

Over the past year all my certainties have been stripped from me but one: there is a God. It is my intention to build on what I consider to be the only solid foundation in a life without guarantees.

I don't know who you are but I hope you will join me. I hope to find dialogue and community, and stretch my mind beyond its meager capacity. Most of all I hope to find God. Most of all, I need to find God.
